Adapting to the ever-changing natural environment, Maison Ruinart has perfected its know-how and created a new expression of chardonnay. Ruinart Blanc Singulier embodies the distinctiveness of each year's wines, reflecting the variations in climate and the essence of that specific vintage.
In response to the evolving temperatures in Champagne, the shortened vine cycle, and the accelerated maturation process, chardonnay reveals an unprecedented aromatic repertoire, with intense aromas and texture.
To reveal these exceptional aromatic expressions while upholding the Ruinart signature style, the cellar master and the team have adapted their expertise. Blanc Singulier is the result of an innovative oenological approach, blending base wines from a specific year and from a perpetual reserve crafted exclusively for this cuvée. A new blend that preserves Ruinart's distinctive aromatic freshness for a blanc de blancs that is either lightly dosed or not dosed at all, depending on the edition of the cuvée.
Ruinart Blanc Singulier is presented as a collection whose editions reflect the years marked by an atypical climate.
In 2026, Maison Ruinart unveils the new Ruinart Blanc Singulier Edition 20 cuvée, whose still wines from the 2020 harvest reveal an unprecedented aromatic expression of Chardonnay, once again confirming the need to adapt winemaking expertise to the impact of climate change.
The third year in the 2018, 2019, 2020 trilogy, this edition reflects the marked climatic contrasts experienced in Champagne in 2020: after a particularly mild winter and an exceptionally sunny spring, the summer, marked by record drought and extreme temperatures, led to an early harvest beginning as soon as August.
