"In the gardens, humans connect with nature. The history of Ruinart and this Champagne terroir is reflected in every detail of the landscaping. It is a garden to explore and experience, revealing the spirit of the Maison. The outdoor spaces form a scenographic path designed to awaken the senses and evoke emotions."

A GARDEN CULTIVATING HARMONY

Designed by landscape artist Christophe Gautrand as a fully artistic experience, the landscaped park creates a dialogue between the historic buildings and the modernity of the new pavilion, as well as between the chalk pits and the luminous limestone facades.

Its plant palette favours a wide variety of species. The remarkable beech trees in the listed area are complemented by younger specimens—hornbeams, maples, and pines carefully chosen to densify the plant cover. These clusters of trees, of different ages and sizes, form the layers of an interdependent ecosystem capable of freely evolving and adapting to climate change as it grows.

This garden is one of the first projects in France to earn the BiodiverCity® Life label, which rates and displays the performance of real estate projects that account for biodiversity, recognising its contribution to ecological balance.

The gardens are open to the public, free of charge.

ART INTWINED WITH NATURE

At 4 RUE DES CRAYÈRES, art, in many forms, is omnipresent. In the heart of the chalk pits, along the landscaped paths, in the main courtyard and garden, and within the walls of the historic salons, the works on display reveal Ruinart's vision.

The gardens host several contemporary artworks, engaged in a dialogue with nature. In conversation with one another, these creations speak of a world they help to make more understandable. Vine stocks, glass, limestone, wood, metal, the sound of bubbles, mycelium, vine leaves, calendars... the materials they are made of echo the elements and concerns of the Champagne region (biodiversity, climate, soil life...), while displaying a wide range of artistic approaches.

More than just an exercise in contemplation, the art trails invite collective awakening.
