THE ADDESS IN CHAMPAGNE
Open for generations to the influences shaping Champagne and the world, 4 RUE DES CRAYÈRES in Reims is a unique address where talent and craftsmanship evolve in harmony with nature. Since its founding, Maison Ruinart has committed to offering much more than just a place to visit. It’s a destination of experiences where every visitor is invited to live unique and inspiring moments.
Rooted in a rich cultural heritage, Maison Ruinart brings together Champagne’s winemaking tradition, French art de vivre, and global artistry on this emblematic site. It celebrates refined living, expert craftsmanship, and the deep connection between nature and culture.
Open to all, 4 RUE DES CRAYÈRES offers an immersive experience full of discovery and tastings. Visitors can explore contemporary artworks in harmony with the site’s natural and historical elements, while acclaimed chefs create bespoke food and champagne pairings.
THE SPACES
A meeting place and starting point for guided tours, the pavilion reveals the world of Maison Ruinart. In the lounges, on the terrace, or in the boutique, visitors can taste Ruinart champagnes and purchase a limited edition of their favourite cuvée.
These chalk cathedrals, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, reveal millennia of heritage steeped in history and craftmanship. Dug as deep as 35 meters, they serve as naturally cool cellars where the cuvées are kept safe from heat and light.
The gardens, designed as an experience in their own right, create a dialogue between the historic buildings and the modernity of the new pavilion, while connecting the underground world of the chalk cellars to the brightness of the limestone facades.
To envision the transformation of this iconic address, Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, interior designer Gwenaël Nicolas, and landscape artist Christophe Gautrand united their talents to bring to light the vision of Nicolas Ruinart, who founded the Maison in Reims nearly 300 years ago.
Opposite the centuries-old building stands a contemporary pavilion of stone and glass. Surrounded by a freely accessible sculpture garden designed as a haven for local biodiversity, 4 Rue des Crayères offers a sensory and inspired immersion into the world of champagne.
