Echoing his sensory installation RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, Jeppe Hein customized the Ruinart Rosé Jeroboam coffret.
The Danish artist whitened it with chalk – taken directly from the walls of the Maison’s Crayères – giving the wood a ceruse-like appearance. The artist also replaced the usual Ruinart label by a rose-coloured mirror one, recalling the mirrors that display mantras in the art installation.
Once the bottle has been removed, the box serves as the base for a rose-coloured mirror sculpture evoking both the colour and sparkling bubbles of the champagne: a testimony to the fleeting moment of tasting.
With 25 signed and numbered copies, this boxed set will be presented at the art fairs of which Maison Ruinart is a partner.
