WHITE BOOK

Chardonnay is the signature of Maison Ruinart.
A signature imbued with elegance, lightness and freshness.

Chardonnay, the remarkable white grape from Champagne, is the essence of the Maison
Ruinart. It is the golden thread that runs through each and every wine.
It gives each wine a unique luminosity, intensity and lightness.

Chardonnay is all about patience. Coaxing out its full character requires a great deal of time, stringency and skill.

Frédéric Panaïotis, Maison Ruinart's cellar-master, has mastered the art of bringing out the aromatic freshness of Chardonnay.

THE EMBLEM OF MAISON RUINART

Its unique flavour and brilliant colour make Blanc de Blancs the emblematic cuvée of Maison Ruinart.

100% Chardonnay grapes.
The delicate aroma of Chardonnay comes from the high percentage of Premiers Crus from the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs.
Its roundness is the product of Premier Crus from the Coteaux Sézannais.
Its lightness and freshness come from premier crus from the Massif de Saint Thierry.
It is this precisely calibrated blend that makes the Blanc de Blancs so singular.

100% mastery.
Creating a unique wine requires a limited palette. That is how the same incomparable flavour of Blanc de Blancs is recreated year after year.
Blanc de Blancs remains the Maison’s emblematic cuvée thanks to a unique expertise and careful harvesting by hand.

100% clarity.
The bottle’s voluptuous shape is the trademark of Maison Ruinart.
The bottle is distinctive and unique in that it is completely clear, showcasing the wine’s brilliant pale golden yellow, slightly greenish colour.

THE AROMATIC FRESHNESS OF CHARDONNAY

Close your eyes. Breathe in the aromas.
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs features a first nose with a surprising intensity and freshness.
Do you detect notes of citrus, lemon and citron?
Perhaps tropical fruit, pineapple and passion fruit?
What about fresh, bright spicy notes? Indeed, that is the smell of ginger and cardamom.

Close your eyes and breathe in again.
The nose has become subtle and floral.
There are notes of white flower, lime tree and jasmine.
As well as notes of plump fruit, of white peach.
And the gently fresh, spicy notes of pink peppercorn.

Now taste.
The attack on the palate has an unexpected roundness.
First the white peach, plump and juicy, sweet and light, almost powdery.
It gives the wine its richness.
Next comes pineapple, bright and sour, which heightens the bubbles of the champagne and makes it even more lavish.

The length in the mouth is surprising.
It reveals a fresh finish with notes of citrus.
Followed by an unanticipated bitterness of citron and white pomelo.
Elegant, clean, precise.

Ruinart Blanc de Blancs offers the nose and palate a harmonious wine and unique aromatic freshness.

WHEN THE LIGHTNESS OF NOTES LINGERS

The wine is light, yes, but also round. That is the secret behind Ruinart Blanc de Blancs. That is why it is made with twenty-some crus from differing vintages.

It is round, yes, but without sacrificing freshness. Roundness is preserved using young reserve wines from harvests from years past.

This blend of Chardonnay is what gives Ruinart Blanc de Blancs a lightness that lingers delicately.

The clear and precise finish is due to a small amount of sugar.
This aromatic refinement is also inherent to its delicate, persistent stream of tiny bubbles.
