    Composition

Dom Ruinart rosé est unique dans son assemblage

Dom Ruinart Rosé is always a unique blend. Composed of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir vinified as red wine, it has the character of a « blanc de blancs rosé ».

The blend was made using 81% Grand Cru Chardonnay, 69% of which comes from the Côtes des Blancs (Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger) and 31% from the Montagne de Reims (Puisieulx, Sillery), with the addition of 19% Pinot Noir made into red wine, coming only from the Sillery cru.

    • Hand picked
    • Fermentation in temperature-regulated stainless steel fermenters
    • Full malolactic fermentation

    TASTING NOTES

Dom Ruinart Rosé encapsulates a balance one would believe to be impossible: a classic, yet velvety style of Champagne: Intense, delicate and aromatic, all at once.

Dom Ruinart Rosé matures in the cellars for twelve years and displays the essential characteristics of a sublime rosé Champagne as soon as released. Fresh raspberries, blend with the acidity of candied red currants, and just a hint of wild strawberry…

This all-time classic is defined by its layers of minerals laced with smoke. Flavors of the East draw you in with their complexity of exotic spices. Refined wild sea rose and a hint of dried rose petals hover on the surface of the Champagne and unfurl on the palate.

    FROM FLUTE TO PLATE

This fine rosé champagne is based on the Chardonnay grand cru and will acompany both a seafood theme (salmon tataki, marinated tuna, etc.) and a turf-based dish (poultry and veal in particular).

This brilliant expression with its ever so subtle sweetness is the result of a surprising balancing act: the creamy texture and classic style come together to represent a pedigreed wine. Dom Ruinart Rosé 2004 follows in the footsteps of its predecessors, the unparalleled 1998 and 2002, followed then by all those of its ancient lineage.
