2020 RUINART SOMMELIER CHALLENGE MUNICH 2020

THE ULTIMATE EDUCATIONAL CHAMPAGNE JOURNEY

The Ruinart Challenge is back in Munich on Monday 25th May 2020! Enter the ultimate training and mentoring programme, designed by the first established House of Champagne, for the best sommeliers in Germany.

THE CHALLENGE

The event will start with a 40 minute-written blind tasting of 4 wines that can be from any region in the world - still or sparkling. You will compete on blind tasting questions but also pairing suggestions and serving temperature. 
This will be followed by a technical lecture and tasting by a member of Ruinart Winemaking team and finish with an informal lunch featuring Ruinart champagnes. The judging panel will select their winner on the day and he or she will be awarded a unique trip to France.

THE PRIZE

The winning German sommelier will be invited to Champagne for an amazing and educational 4 day trip, joining winning sommeliers from 14 countries around the world. Winners will participate in various activities such as a a private tour of Ruinart's historic Crayères, a unique tasting sessions, an exploring regional delicacies, a CIVC experimental vineyard tour and many more surprises!
