For the Art Brussels art fair, Ruinart had the honour of collaborating with artist Piet Hein Eek who for the occasion, put all his creativity to service the oldest champagne House.
Broadly recognized for his creations entirely made of wood, Piet Hein Eek paid a great tribute to Ruinart by being inspired by the wooden cases used to carry the bottles during the 18th century.
Piet Hein Eek is Dutch and graduated from the prestigious academy of Eindhoven. His authentic and unconventional style gives a second life to used wood by sculpting this noble material.
The gift box created for the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs reveals the essence of his vision of beauty. Each piece is unique and entirely hand made. Its shape matches the bottle’s generous outline.
Art Brussels will be the occasion to present his unique piece of art from which he was inspired to create the gift boxes.
